Welcome to Atomic & Era.
Atomic & Era sells vintage, pre-loved and previously owned pieces. Each item is individually selected and may have its own history, character and signs of age or previous use.
By placing an order with Atomic & Era, you agree to these terms.
Products & descriptions
We make every reasonable effort to ensure our product descriptions, photographs and measurements accurately represent each item.
Because our pieces are vintage and pre-loved, they may show signs of age, wear or previous use. This can include minor marks, fading, discolouration, scratches, creasing, wear or other imperfections consistent with the item's age and history.
Any significant known damage, defects or imperfections will be disclosed in the product description and/or photographs.
Please carefully review the photographs, description, measurements and condition information before purchasing.
If you are unsure about an item's condition or have a question about it, please contact us before purchasing. We are happy to provide additional information or photographs where reasonably possible.
Restoration & preparation
Where appropriate, Atomic & Era may clean, repair, restore, condition or otherwise prepare an item before sale.
Our aim is to restore each piece as close as reasonably possible to its original condition while retaining its original character.
Restoration does not mean an item will be new or completely free from signs of age or previous use.
Disclosed condition
Where a particular imperfection, damage or sign of wear has been clearly disclosed in the listing before purchase, that disclosed condition forms part of the description of the item.
A customer who purchases an item after being given clear information about a disclosed imperfection cannot later treat that same disclosed imperfection as an undisclosed fault.
This does not exclude or limit any rights that cannot legally be excluded under New Zealand consumer law.
Vintage sizing & measurements
Vintage sizing can differ significantly from modern sizing.
Where measurements are provided, customers should use those measurements when determining whether an item is suitable rather than relying solely on the size shown on the label.
Measurements are taken as accurately as reasonably possible but minor variations may occur.
Photographs & colour
We make every effort to photograph items accurately.
Actual colours may vary slightly depending on lighting, photography and individual screen settings.
One-of-a-kind items
Many Atomic & Era pieces are unique or limited vintage items.
An identical replacement may therefore not be available if an issue arises with an order.
Where a legal remedy applies, Atomic & Era will provide the remedy required by law.
Pricing
All prices are in New Zealand dollars unless otherwise stated.
We make every reasonable effort to ensure prices are accurate. If an obvious pricing or listing error occurs, we may contact you before fulfilling the order.
Orders
Orders are subject to product availability and successful payment.
Once an order has been accepted, we will process and dispatch it as soon as reasonably practicable.
If an item becomes unavailable or an order cannot reasonably be fulfilled, we will contact the customer and provide an appropriate resolution.
Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude, restrict or override any rights or remedies available under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, Fair Trading Act 1986 or any other applicable New Zealand law.
The Consumer Guarantees Act applies to second-hand goods sold by businesses and can provide remedies where goods do not meet the required guarantees. The appropriate remedy depends on the circumstances.
Changes to these terms
Atomic & Era may update these terms from time to time.
The terms applying to an order will generally be those in effect at the time the order is placed, subject to any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
